So fresh, so delicious and locally sourced. A winning combination!
South West France is known for its hearty, warming and rich dishes such as confit of duck, foie gras and shellfish. La Cagette takes inspiration from these and adds a modern twist, making it much more appealing (& manageable on the stomach!) to both tourists and locals alike.
There certainly were plenty of great options to pick from and being a restaurant that sources locally, the menu is innovative and constantly changing. We started with a mix of little sharing starters which were full of excellent well-balanced flavours. We followed this with our main courses of vegetarian risotto, whole fish and a veal stew.
With a busy buzzing vibe both inside and out there’s literally nothing bad I can say about La Cagette. Just make sure you book a table and see for yourself!
